I just upgraded to CS from 7.0, so now how do I copy the custom brushes I’ve created in 7.0 to CS? Or do I start over again?

Save the Brushes out of 7 and load them into CS. From the Preset Manager you can selectively choose the brush presets you want to save, so you don’t have to save all the default brushes that are already installed.
