I change the color of an ojbect using Edit in Quick Mask Mode. But, when I save as tif or bmp and then open the color is gone. WHY? How can I change the color of an object itself?

Thanks!!

Is your colorspace mode RGB or CMYK? Are you changing the color of the mask? Why not make image color adjustments in paint mode?

What I have is Jpeg of a person with some white background. I then open/copypaste in photo shop and then change the color of the person using Edit in Quick Mask Mode. I can see the color change but when I save as tif/bmp then I can’t see the color change.

Don’t use quick mask mode. Make your color adjustments in paint mode (when you see the paintbrush in front of the layer in the palette).

Okay, I did the following :
1. open a image
2. click Image buttom
3. choose Adjustment-click curves
4. click Options buttom
5. change Midtone’s color and click OK.

I can change the color. But, I still see some parts/lines(very few) of the object still remain the original color, not the new changed color.

Work in psd (jpeg throws out pixels.) Paint over black artwork with brush set to screen, or:

1. set rgb mode
2. select layer and choose diagonal circle (creates new layer set)
3. choose solid color, color picker appears, choose your color
4. change blending mode via dropdown at top of palette
5. choose screen or color depending on original color, experiment
6. change color: double click color box in adjustment layer

Also, I assume you are working in version 7 or 8.

I’m sorry if this will offend you eddie, but this is about as elemental as you can get.

You really should spend a little time with the manual.
