This is a problem I’m encountering with the new nestable layer sets.
If I try to unnest a layer set, I click and drag it out of the parent layer set, but am unable to drop it anywhere else in the layer palette except next to another layer set. If I have some layers that aren’t part of a set, I cna’t drop the nested set inbetween them: the cursor shows as a circle with a slash through it, and I can’t drop the layer. The cursor changes to a hand only if I hover over or near another layer set. Then I can drop the layer set.
A problem here is that the target to drop the set within the other layer set is much larger than the target to drop the layer next to that set. It’s much easier to drop a layer set within another set than to drop it next to another layer set. I’ve requested an interface change to address this in the feature requests forum.
