Ok while it looks like this could be a cool version for the Digital photo future, things are just a little flaky here.

In previous versions when I select the move tool I can adjust my type position in small increments with the arrow keys; not so with CS, why not?

Also if I choose to save a file as Untitled_01.02 .psd the file is saved as Untitled_01.02 and has no file extension; why not?
this was not an issue with P.S. 5.0 – 7.0
Any ideas?

And that is still how it works in PSCS…..

Suggest you try deleting your prefs file…….

the file is saved as Untitled_01.02 <<

If you REMOVE the .psd extension when naming the file, and have supplied a different extension (in this case .02) then the file WILL be saved named as an ‘.02’ file – just don’t delete the psd extension when re-naming.

thanks for the reply but…
it was clean install so there were no prefs saved.
and I did not delete the .psd extension; i did infact select it from the menu. adding .02 to the name in no way is changing the extension.
doing so worked perfectly in ps 7.0

ROKKPAPA,

But adding a dot id ‘saying’ you want that to be the file extension – use an underscore instead….
