Having just upgraded to CS suite from Photoshop 7, I found I have had to re-set up my actions and droplets. However, I can’t get the droplets to work at all! The action runs ok, and the batch command runs ok, but when I drag and drop file onto droplet, it opens photoshop and that’s it!! This is driving me mad…. Any one have any ideas?

That happens to me on Version 7 with droplets. But if I have photoshop open first, then they run fine. Have you tried that?

Have the same problem in OS X 10.2 and now in Panther. Under OS 9.22/PS 7 (the ‘old’ sys left behind after the upgrade to Panther) the Droplets run fine.

I think going to OS X messed it up for me – which OS are you in and did you migrate to OSX from 9x at the same time, out of interest’s sake as I cannot help you. I have a funny feeling that PS 7.0/8.0 runn9ng in OSX will not use old droplets created in OS 9.x

I have not found any amswers on NAPP/Adobe forums.

Oh well just have make new droplets, as at least I have all the actions still – and I hope they all work; I know one is working as that is all I have tested w Panther/CS

Yep tried with PS open first, this is how I generally run them as it’s quicker etc… It’s just the .EXE bit that won’t run. It’s most frustrating! Incidentally my OS is XP….

Steve,

Is Photoshop CS installed to a different directory than PS 7 was?

I am not sure, but is it possible that droplets reference the Photoshop path? I haven’t had a chance to test this but you might try moving Photoshop to the old path (if it is different now).

My droplets are having the exact same problem. Has anyone figured out what the problem is? Help!

Perhaps it will help…then again, perhaps not.
