Hi,
I know how to create a stroke around an object as a solid line, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to make a dashed line. Is it in the edit tab under stroke and I just haven’t seen it? Please help, it’s making me crazy and it takes so long to do them manually.
Thanks!
Sarah

Sarah, you have to change the spacing of your brush in the brushes palette. In the palette select the brushes tip shape and on the right side at the bottom change the spacing to something like 200 or better. You will see an example of what it will look like. Once you have a selection of what you want to stroke, make it into a path and then stroke the path with the brush you just made.

Stroking is done using a tool, like a brush. So, choose a square brush and set the spacing on the Brushes palette.

In Photoshop 8 (don’t have it, haven’t played with it yet) you could probably create a path and do type-on-a-path with a string of periods or "•" bullet marks. Then, you could adjust the tracking so they’re spaced the way you want them along the path.

Nice idea Phosphor. I will have to give that a try. I think it will certainly work with a little bit of practice.
