just a quick question. noticed that on the Photoshop CS page system requirements states that the processor needs to be a Intel III or 4

have a AMD XP 2800

does this mean it wont run photoshop CS? or will photoshop be slow?

You can usually add "or equivalent" to the end of the processor specs. I run AMD on 2 of my 3 machines and have no problems running Photoshop.

Gentle enough or do I need to slap on some latex gloves?

thanks guys.
just as i suspected.

(seems Intel does dominate the market – adobe should add "or equivalent" for those newbies, as Intel chip is not a "requirement")

Installed PS CS on my new AMD 64 3200+ and it smokes. Coming from WIN 98 and 600mhz there is no comparison. Glad I made the move to PS CS and AMD.

my AMD is XP 2800+ – so perhaps it wont "smoke" as quick, but I’ll be happy with second place. time to find out and see – installation due tomorrow.
