I use a Canon 1D and the files come out with a 656F0001.RAW or 860B0001.RAW file name from the camera. When I convert the RAW the files the file name takes on an extention of 656F0001_RT8.tif or 860B0001.tif after the file name. I then use an action to create screen copies as Jpgs for viewing.
I have used ACDSee to batch rename the Jpgs with a lot of good results. However, in trying the same with PSCS I find I cannot retain the Alpha character in the file name. It only allows me to use numeric characters.
Is this failing on my part or is it the failing of PSCS to plan for Alpha characters in the file name. I have a friend who uses the client name as the first part of the file name.
Help appreciated…
