Hey all,

Fellow Photoshop professional here….I’ve been teaching Photoshop for about 4 yrs. now and have always used "Adobe Photoshop – Classroom in a Book" as the official text book for lessons, etc.

However, we will no longer be using certain Publishers at the school I’m associated with and unfortunately I am now having to look for another Photoshop book to teach with.

What suggestions do you have, other than "Classroom in a Book"? I’d like to find a text book that includes a CD with lessons, etc. as this has been helpful with my current book.

Any and all suggestions would be great!!!!! Thanks in advance, Mark

Mark,

I am not a teacher but my ps7 is tought well having Deke McClelland’s Photoshop Handbook (often referred to as Photoshop Bible).
Bought that one day after buying PS, and the book is just starting to wear out.

Can you save your students some cash and make a web-based teaching aid?

Set up the lessons as either .pdf files or movies like this great site:

At my school, they use Photoshop Visual Quick Start Guide for the intro class and Real World Photoshop for the more advanced classes. Neither of these came with a CD if I remember correctly.
