Photoshop CS: The type face on the buttons on the action palette (when in button mode) is different from 7.01; it is a thinner lighter weight type.

Is there any means of controlling this?

Running 1024 x 768 res on the monitors (dual setup) with Matrox 450 card. Windows 2000 SP4. AMD 1200 mhz 1.5 gb ram.

David,

I’m seeing no difference….

Here is a screen shot showing PS7’s action palette above and CS’s below:

I think he mentioned button mode len. Check that out. I’ve noticed it too. Not much of a bother, but different.

I think he mentioned button mode <<

Ah!……Can’t remember the last time my actions palette was in Button mode <g>

Hmm-I see now – but on my monitor I would say CS is easier to read – a definite improvement

Yes, the user interface font changed for Photoshop CS. It used to be a hand-tuned bitmap. It’s now a standard Windows font (Tahoma) which also gets you anti-aliasing if you ask for it (thus, it should look better for some people who have enabled that Windows feature). It can be a little bit thin at points, but should still be readable.
