In Adobe Photoshop 6.0 I have created some jpg files that I am using on a website. How do I reduce the file size without losing quality?

Best to do them in a batch action where with verticals to a file called "portrait" and the horizontals to a file called "lanscape" so that each could be re-sharpened or adjusted as need, just before all are uploaded.

You do not want to open/resave when the images are in jpg format.
