G’Day! I am creating some menues for Adobe Encore in Photoshop and I successfully made black drop shadow effects on white or red backgrounds. Somehow I can not create a white drop shadow on a black background – it doesn’t even show up in the preview. (When I change the shadow color to e.g. red it at least shows in the preview but still not on the actual picture). I was however able to create a white "outer glow" effect (in preview and actual picture) on a black background.

Any glues? Thanks a million!

Experiment with changing the Layer Style blend mode to something other than Multiply and fuss with the Opacity until you get the desired effect.

Dear Shecky – your tip made it happen! I choose "Normal" blend mode and all was good! Thanks a lot!
