I just loaded CS onto my computer. I use WinXP. It seems that CS does not load on top of PS 7.0. PS 7.0 uses a lot of space. Will it cause any problems if I delete PS 7.0.

No problem. Just say no when asked about deleting shared files. But if you need space that badly I would strongly encourage you to purchase a new harddrive.

Sounds like you’re worried about taking up hard drive space. Might be time for a new, bigger hard drive, because relatively speaking, a stripped-down folder full of version 7.0.1 really doesn’t take up that much space.

Do what you can to keep v.7.0.1 on your system until you’re as sure as you can be that there aren’t any insurmountable problems with Photoshop 8 that would prevent you from getting important work done. If you run into probems with v 8.x, you can then quickly jump back to version 7.0.1 and continue on your merry way.

Unless, of course, you actually enjoy reinstalling applications. Then go right ahead and ditch it!
