I have a fast windows computer with plenty of ram, etc. but recently Photoshop is starting to slow down especially in the area of converting a file to TIFF, I have kept up with defraggin the drive, doing general cleanup etc. I have had 7 loaded for quite some time and no problems, this just started for no apparent reason, and it does this even on small files any suggestions?

Thanks

Richard

Richard,

I have deleted your two duplicate posts – they were probably caused by using the Back button in your browser. Use the ‘breadcrumb’ links for navigating around the forums.

Whenever Photoshop starts acting ‘flakey’, the first thing always to try is deleting the prefs file – Full details in the FAQ at the top of this forum’s Topic list

Hmmm, what are "breadcrumb links"? I use the back button all the time and have not had a multiple posting due to that.

Lawrence,

The <support <User Forums <Photoshop_Win links at the top and bottom of every page.

They are called ‘breadcrumbs’ because they show you your route back through the forum structure just like the breadcrumbs in Hansel and Grettel

duplicate posts occur when you hit reload after posting (from within the newly created thread).

I guess the angels have guided me past that mishap!

Thanks!

Hansel and Gretel! What’s Adobe coming to?

Oh, well, if it was good enough for Humperdinck……….

Nothing to do with Adobe… 🙂

Just for your info, ‘Breadcrumbs’ is webdesign terminology…

Cheers…
