Error: Configuration for the ativation license is missing…..

I recently upgraded to PS CS and successfully installed, activated and registered the product. It works great most of the time; however; three times in the last ten days I have received an error message (see below) when in the middle of a project. Dismissing the error, automatically closes PS. I have not uninstalled/reinstalled as recommended by the message. When I reopen PS and check the "Activate" option, it is grayed (as though it has been activated successfully). What’s up with that? Any help is appreciated.

Error:
"The configuration for the activation license is missing. Please uninstall and reinstall the application".

I have not uninstalled/reinstalled as recommended by the message.

I would do that.
