I hear there is a way you can make realistic skin in photoshop, does anyone know where I can go to get a tutorial? I’m wanting to make it realistic down to the pores in the skin for textures in Poser 5.
There is a tutorial in femme digitale, but I havent gotten ahold of the book yet. Thanks everyone!

The best thing to do would really be simply just to get down and begin painting it by hand. Using several flesh tones painted on a base white with the use of Rendered Lighting using mountainous vs several differing light channels works wonders. Check it out

I don’t know if this will fit your needs:

1. Create a new layer. Select Overlay (blending mode). Fill the layer with 50% neutral gray.

2. Add noise about 4% Gaussian, Monochrome.

3. Apply Gaussian blur about 1.3 radius.

4. Apply Filter>Stylize>Emboss and use a Height of 1. Amount is between 300 to 500%.

I don’t know if it will look realistic skin texture but it worth a try. From there use your PS skill to balance the skin textures in your image.

Skip,

the writer E.M.Forster said in "Passage to India", the skin color of Europeans is "pinkish gray".

In fact, skin consists of small dots of different colors, and the pores are small craters … appearance depending on the light. For the texture I would use a digital photo.

Try NewTek’s site. Just don’t tell anyone in the forums that you’re using Poser, lol. It’s an excellent resource for information, etc regarding all things 3D.
