How can I add a 3-dimensional look to this object:

I’m trying to add a 3d look to it to make it look like a long tube. I’ve tried using the Emboss effect but that didn’t quite achieve the look I was hoping for.

Thanks in advance.

Ryan,

I’m trying to add a 3d look to it to make it look like a long tube.

The shading is currently wrong for that. I personally don’t think it is worth it to try to convert this flat-sided object into a circular cross-sectioned object. But you might create a layer and airbrush on it with some black and white to create a grayscale gradient to simulate the play of light on a cylindrical surface. You could play with the blending mode of that layer to convert your airbrushing into a modification to the lightness and darkness of your original object.
