I’ve seen this recommendation several times, but I’ll be damned if I can find these threads (I’m searching the web forum, although I normally read the group via Usenet). Searching for "Win2K," "slow," "sluggish,"
"performance," etc. results in hundreds of irrelevant threads…

Can someone please post a link directly to one of these threads?

Thanks!

Brian,

YrbkMgr "Opterons and Photoshop CS" 10/30/03 11:55am </cgi-bin/webx?14/0>

There have been other threads, but it’s hard to keep track of them. Lots of activity around here lately. <g>

My apologies… I don’t have "autoquote" because I use a newsreader, but I should have trimmed the quote accordingly. My bad.

no problem, i see you’ve already had it out with phosphor <g>.

FYI, "autoquote" is what you get in a newsreader when it pulls the previous messages into your message and prepends ">"

If you’re using OE i think it’s under prefrences> reply or something like that. It’s usually the reply style. Look for something like "include previous messages in replies".

this is one of the best places on the net for learning photoshop. don’t let us natives irk you too much, we’re just trying to help you move in. 🙂

Well, how about:

Folks, PLEASE turn on word-wrap at about 75 to 78 char/line. It really makes the articles more readable "across the board" (no pun intended).

As for autoquote, I am in reading this from within the usenet group news:adobe.photoshop.windows

It’s OK to have quoting turned on, as long as the quotes are edited to contain only those pertinent to the reply post.

Maybe I should ask Radio Shack. They claim they’ve got answers; but frankly, if Radio Shack were our provider, we’d _really_ be in trouble now, wouldn’t we?
