laptop and desktop using same monitor, color mismatch

Okay, I have installed a KVM switch to view my laptop on the desktop’s CRT. I have calibrated the CRT through the laptop with Optical. When I jump between computers on the CRT the color is quite different with the laptop output being significantly warmer than the desktop’s. This is a Lacie Electron Blue IV and brand new and the desktop’s output is gorgeous.

I do wish to avoid physically adjusting the monitor to clean up the screen but is that the only option?

You may have calibrated the monitor, but is that newly-generated color profile present on both machines, or just the laptop?
