Hi,

I am using Photoshop CS (English) on Windows XP Home (French) with a Swiss (QWERTZ) keyboard. After some time (I have never been able to reproduce this systematically), Photoshop recognizes my keyboard as "AZERTY"; i.e. when I type "z", Photoshop sees "y". This only affects Photoshop (Alt-Tab to Notepad shows that Windows is still recognizing my keyboard correctly). Shutting down PS and restarting it solves the problem. I have noticed similar behaviour with a French version of Photoshop Elements on a different machine.

I searched the forum ("azerty") and found 2 threads which cover a similar problem but they do not provide an answer/solution to this problem.

Go into the Regional and Languages control panel, hit the button that brings up the keyboards list. At the bottom is a button that will let you edit the keyboard shortcuts that let you switch between keyboards. Most of the default shortcuts just happen to be real near or match real Photoshop shortcuts (e.g., ctl-alt-space). Remove the shortcuts you don’t need.
