Adding a star to the top of an "i"

Hi, I’d like to add a star to replace the dot in the letter "i". Could someone tell me how to do this? Thanks

use a custom shape on its own layer and overlay the dot.

use the shape tool. you’ll find lots of custom shapes there. also use the help and the manual. you need to take some initiative! 😉
