I just tried to run a short action on almost 600 RAW files and CS absolutely crapped all over itself.
System:
WinXP
Athalon 2200
1.5 GB RAM
(system is stable)
To wit, the recorded action:
RAW file open
Auto-Levels
Shadow-Highlight
Image Size
Save As JPG
It ran fine on the first 50 images or so, and then it did this with the following 550:
RAW file open
Auto-Color
Image Size
Save As JPG
Not only did it drop the Shadow-Highlight step, but the substituted Auto-Color step turned the the image into a bizarre RED posterized mess. (Just to check, the Auto-Color seemed to work OK outside of the action.)
I’m not a happy camper…back to PS7 I go for now, at least to run this action.
