It’s been installed for about a year, but the past couple of days, I haven’t been able to open it. I’ve tried ‘jumping’ from image ready, and I get an ‘unable to jump because photoshop is not responding’ message. I’ve tried ‘running’ the program, and even uninstalling/reinstalling it, still no go. Anybody have any suggestions, I’m desperate!

Thanks,

Ben

Try trashing your prefs. See the FAQs for details.

I deleted the Preferences and it still won’t load. It does go further now, but in the end, nothing.

I also tried holding shift, alt, and Ctrl while loading and that didn’t work either.

HELP!! and THANKS!!

where is it stalling? what’s the last thing it shows on the startup splash screen (ie loading fonts, initializing memory, etc.)

Dave, I briefly see " Loading Color Preferences" and then it disappears.

Thanks a zilion for your help.

others may be better suited to pick up my slack here, but it sounds like you have a bad color profile. you can try to rerun adobe gamma from the control panel. save the new settings under a new name.

Dave, I just downloaded the 7.0.1 upgrade and the problem is solved. So who knows the real culprit – – –
