I am hoping to be able to use Photoshop to input my file info to my images and have that info imported by some image management software.

Specifically, I would like to use Photoshop to add keywords to my images. These keywords could then be used by image management software, such as ACDSee, to sort my images.

Has anyone been able to use the file info area of Photoshop to accomplish this? If so, what software was used and how?

Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure of your answer, but I’m pretty sure that anyone who would know would need to know what version of photoshop you’re using. (Sheesh! Is that a tongue twister or what?!!<g>)

From the Help File
———-<<<<<<<<<<<
Saving and Exporting Images > Adding file information (Photoshop)

In Windows, you can add file information to files saved in Photoshop, TIFF, JPEG, EPS, and PDF formats. In Mac OS, you can add file information to files in any format.

To enter information about a file:

1 Choose File > File Info.

any program that can access IPTC data and map it into a field will do what you want. Extensis Portfolio, Thumbsplus, etc are all along these lines.
