Whenever I start PS 7, I get an error message "unable to fine ExtendScript.dll" The software seems to work fine despite this. I’ve completely uninstalled and then reinstalled from scratch to no avail I’m running under XP home on a Gateway with NVIDIA graphics. Of note, Running on another computer that was almost identical never had this happen. I don’t think, therefore, that it’s any hardware issue. What is this file and where can it be? How do I fix this? BTW, no problems with Norton or JV16 when I check. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You’re missing part of the scripting plugin you installed.

Thanks. However, I just installed as the "typical" and did not add any plugins, to my knowlege. Can you expound on this and give me a bit more details? Thanks.

You added the PS 7 scripting plugin at some point (since it is a separate download) — and now part of it is missing (ExtendScript.dll).

You need to remove the remaining pieces, or reinstall the plugin.

Interesting. This was a fresh install on a freshly formatted machine. Yet, downloading and installing the plugin worked. Thanks so much. I appreciate the help!
