View Extras (Ctrl+H) not working in CS??

I’ve just installed CS today and am beginning to think I may have jumped on board the version too early. Besides running *much* slower than 7.0, CS seems to have a glitch when attempting to "view extras" (such as guidelines and selections) – Ctrl+H doesn’t work.

Anyone else have this problem? Know of any way to fix it? 🙁
