Hi…

The problem is that when i open an image file in PS the color is what that i want. now when i click to print with preview i see that the image looses yellow in the print preview window thus making the image look more redish. when i give a print i get exactly the color what i see in the print preview window. So to make the print right I have to punch more yellow to the image which gets compensated in the print preview to get the right color. I am using Adobe RGB color profile, monitor calibrated by colorfix spyder and the printer is epson stylus 7600.

What should i do to stop adding more yellow to my image to get a correct print.

Print Preview is for positioning, not for color accuracy (something we should have done, but didn’t).

I have the same problem. Skin tones go from an orangish tinge to a reddish one when I go to the print preview and the Epson 2200 prints the reddish version just like the preview shows, maybe a little lighter. IF you find an answer please email me at

Bill: your problem is different. Calibrate your monitor (use a hardware device if LCD), use Print with preview in PS, spend $50 to get an accurate printer-paper profile from DrycreekPhoto or equivalent. Use this profile in printer profile option and turn off all Epson 2200 colour mgt. The preview will still be off, but your prints will not. Also, if you are using Windows XP (either version), make sure you are using the most recent drivers. You’ll need to download Epson10700.exe and Epson10720 from Epson’s web site.
