Can’t initialize photoshop

installed PS 6 and upgraded to 7 but everytime I want to luanch 6. I get the following error:

"could not initialize photoshop becuase the file is locked. Use the "properties" command in windows explorer to unlock the file"

look in your application data folder for the prefrences. check the properties. make sure you have administrator rights to the folder. see the faq topic about resetting prefrences for file locations.

I get that message and when I click OK the Application closes automatically

Photoshop works fine when my scratch disk is set to C..I think it might be an NTFS issue..since this only happens when I log in as a user..

definately permissions. give that user access to wherever you need the scratch disk to be.

its works fine now.. the NTFS permission were inherited from the C drive… It works fine now that the user group has Full control of the scratch disk
