Does anyone know if it’s possible to add a custom shape to warped text? Or is there a way to use a text path to create a warped text effect? I have a particular shape I’d like to achieve with text, and it isn’t included in the warped text selections. I’m using Photoshop CS.

Thanks very much.

The canned warps are all you have. BUT, don’t forget about the horizontal and vertical distortions available in all warps.

Also, there’s nothing that stops you from warping type on a path. Get the type on a path fairly close to what you want and then warp it. You won’t be able to edit the path while there’s a warp on it (sorry, didn’t have time to complete this complex task), but the combo of type on a path and the canned warps can get you some real funky results.

Thanks. I’ll give it a try. The distortions didn’t do the trick. What I want is too different from the canned shapes.

Maybe this other will work, though.

Thanks for your help.

You can convert the text to a vector shape then distort it manually, using the vector editing tools, too.

I hadn’t thought of that. Another good idea. Thanks very much.
