I am practicing the text on path in PSCS and cannot figure out how to get the bottom part (of a square or circle) to read rightside up rather than upside down. I have tried making two paths, one for the top half and one for the bottom half but the bottom still appears upside down.

Thanks in advance,

Denise

Well Duh!

I found part of my answer. I kept thinking the selection arrow was also the path selection tool. Then I found it. I will probably have to make two paths in order to get the top and bottom the way I want because when I flip the bottom all of the text flips.

I don’t have my CS yet, but if it works the way Illustrator does (and I expect it will) then you do have to make two paths. Hopefully there is a baseline shift in the program as well, as this is an essential step in making a circular text-on-path in AI. (You have to drop the baseline of the lower text to the point where the tops of the letters are on the path, rather than the bottoms).

Yes, Don, that is how it works with PSCS. In the character palette, near the left bottom is the Set baseline shift adjustment. Just use a minus number that is the size of your text, usually in points.
