I’m building my home and I like to visualize various exterior finishing would look like. Can anyone point me to some explaination of how to do this with Photoshop?

I have the color patches sample of the roof tiles, stucco, etc. The house is bare now with just the structure and windows in place. I want to see different roof tiles, stucco paint, trimming would look like.

if you scan in pictures of the samples and pictures of your house you could try ‘replacing color’ the only way i can think of to try to estimate what your house will look like as far as the roof goes would be to scan the sample in the size it and copy and paste it onto a layer over the photo of your house…

I would suggest that some of the "home design" software like Punch can do a reasonable job at simulation. Those textures and colors really need to be applied in a 3D program to get the correct shadings and lighting effects. My day job is carpentering and I use Punch for basic remodeling purposals.
