Grey scale desktop after installing PS7.01

When I install PS 6.0, 7.0 or 7.01 on a machine running Windows 2000, the desktop loses all color and appears as a grey scale image. Any thoughts?

Have you checked to see if there are updated drivers for your graphics card?

Tom,

You need to run Adobe Gamma (from Control Panel>Adobe Gamma) and create a new monitor profile. Suggest you LOAD sRGB as your starting point, Don’t forget to change the text in the Description text box. Follow the on-screen instructions and remember to SAVE TO A NEW NAME!
