Good programs tend to have large file sizes. If you have a friend with a faster net connection, and a CD burner, then you could get him to DL it, burn it, and give you a copy. I don’t Adobe has a method of sending out CDs of demos.
In a few weeks the demo of the new CS version will be out, and when that happens, sometimes magazines include the demo on their CDs. This is another alternative.
