Alright, I’ve had a problem ever since I installed Photoshop, with the line tool. Whenever I want to use it, I select it from the shape place, use it on the image, and wham…A large ugly line, with an arrowhead on it appears.

This arrowhead has been ruining my images ever since I purchased Photoshop. I’ve done everything possible to get ride of it, but I just can’t seem to figure it out.

I’d be incredibly grateful if someone could tell me how to get rid of this arrow. Thank you.

What version of PS? The line tool creates a shape layer and you can select the number of pixels wide in options. It sounds like you are adding some sort of layer style to it.

I’ve got version 7.

How do I take off the layer style?

If you select the line tool in version 7, you will see only the option for pixel thickness at the top of the PS page (like:"Weight: 1 px"). After you have drawn your line, if you dbl click the area that is the most right area on the layer menu, you will get style options.

Also check the pull down menu next to the shape tools to see if you have arrow head selected.
