Well, I followed this tutorial at < http://www.gurusnetwork.com/tutorials/photoshop/typeoncircle .html>

As you can see, their text is very nicely located on the top of the circle, in an "arc" fashion.
Now, go to : <http://www.sheencal.com/Sample1.gif> to see a screenshot of my own work.

My text, instead of being arranged in a circular arc, the whole darn thing goes outta logic and defies all theories of physics! It’s crazy!

I followed the tutorial faithfully, and the letter ‘I’ is ok, but all the others just suck. I’ve also uploaded my sample PSD file to <http://www.sheencal.com/SamplePSD.psd>

I hope someone can provide me some guidance on this…thanks! :):) Xeon.

Did you flatten and rasterize all layers before saving as .gif instead of .psd???

Much easier to just upgrade to Photoshop CS, don’t you think?

From Ol’ Whozit:

It doesn’t have anything to do with flattening/rasterizing layers since the rotation of text is weird in the first place. :):)
Maybe I guess I just have to ignore the tutorial and rotate the text using my own methods of estimation instead of those tricks used in the tutorials. 😉

Thanks anyway! 🙂

From Scott:
Much easier to just upgrade to Photoshop CS, don’t you think? PhotoShop CS, Scott? 🙂
Is CS == Challengingly Simple? 🙂

I always thought that PhotoShop is for real men, and the lite versions, such as Elements and CS, are more for people who’re not so serious about designing.
It’s like using Notepad to create a web site, and using online web editors(those click-and-create) to create web sites. See the difference? 🙂

I dunno much about CS(first time I heard it), but I think PhotoShop can create more complex effects and has greater flexibility. :):)

Photoshop CS isn’t a "lite" version, it’s the all new, all singing all dancing version of Photoshop (i.e. it’s Photoshop version 8 in all but name). CS has introduced the text on a path feature that Scott mentions. 😀

Oh my God! As usual, I made a fool outta myself,…dunno why. :):D But surely, CS is gonna suck all the blood outta my computer’s RAM? I think it requires at least 256 MB or beyond.(my PC has 512 MB….but I really stingy with my PC’s resources)
