I have a friend who’s having a problem with Photoshop. It seems that when he types anything he cannot see the text.

He has tried everything from reinstalling Photoshop to checking to see if he’s typing the same color as the background.

I was wondering if anyone here has run into this problem before, and what solutions you might have.

Thank you.

Reset the type tool. Popdown the T icon at the left edge of the options bar, click on the flyout menu popout button, and select reset tool.

Thanks, Scott. It turned out that he was pressing Alt+Ctrl+Shift at the wrong time and therefore was not restting his preference file.

We have no idea what caused his type to disappear, but at least he’s back up and running now.
