I know that this question had been asked before, and it was so helpful…however I can’t find the answer anywhere on the forum. I have an image in photoshop, that I want to put a simple black border around. What is the best way to do this? I remember you suggesting using a rectangular marquee tool…but can’t remember the rest.

Thank you so much in advance for your assistance.

Select the image (CTRL+A)
Edit>Stroke and choose Inside or you will have to expand the canvas to see the line and choose the number of pixels width and color you want.

There are, of course, 3 other ways to do this [like everything in PS]. 🙂

For future reference, you may like to make an action out of this procedure and assign it to a Function Key (mine’s F9).
