Hey,
I was wondering if it was possible to put animation behind text in photoshop. I made some Glass text using photoshop 7 and want to run some kind of lava effect under the letters. Is this possible with photoshop or should i be tackling thin in premier. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Intro for what??

Maybe Flash would be the better choice. If its for a CD, Director or Premiere would both do the job.

Hey Chris…

Have a go at tackling THIS TUTORIAL <http://members.aol.com/markzebra/displace>. It may give you some good ideas. Even if it doesn’t, you’ll learn a really cool technique!

Have fun.

Chris,

For the best results in the least amount of time you should use metaparticles in a 3D modeling and animation package. Both 3D Studio Max <http://www.discreet.com/3dsmax/> and Maya <http://www.alias.com/eng/community/downloads/index.jhtml> have free trials that would give you enough time to do a simple animation like this.

The only problem may be the learning curve if you have never worked in 3D. Here <http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?128@@.2ccde028> is a thread that shows how you can get the look you want out of Photoshop. Take a look at Post #6.
