A GoogleSearch on "KPCD32.dll Photoshop" lead me to a page with no results, but there was a sponsored link that offers a free download for a diagnostic tool you may want to check out:

Hello

You will need to upgrade to version 4.01.
Then you will need to set Windows swap file to a fixed amount. I use Min 256 and Max 1534 with I gb of ram.

Near as I can tell with a little digging, the "kpcd" has something to do with Kodak Photo CD format. Not being a Windows user, I can’t tell you much more than that, and not particularly adept nor inclined to find information on Windows.

But, I gave you a place to start, anyway.

…. KPCD32.dll. (ordinal 146??????) Please help me to make my program work again.

That relates to Kodak PhotoCD imagery.
Sounds like a left over from some program you have (or had) on your XP box that is making a call when you start PS.

Did you load something like maybe the PCD editor from a Corel Photo CD or somesuch? Anything like that ring any bells?

Have registery cleaner of any kind, like maybe Norton WinDoctor?

Or perhaps just search registry for kpcd32.dll, see what calls might be in there for that file. Certainly, backup registry first, then perhaps delete any references to that file.

Does XP still use win.ini and system.ini files?
If so, perhaps look in them for any reference and edit.
