Licence Implications?

I wonder if someone could clarify where I stand … I am going to write an application (in VB) which will be supplied information from an Intranet. In turn the VB application will use Photoshop (as an ActiveX) to open images and perform a set or pre-defined actions. Can I get away with one licence for Photoshop or will I need a server licence (if there is such a thing) ?

Also, the action will remove any LZW compression from images (if present). With most applications the programmatic use of LZW is limited due to licence implications from Unisys as you’d need their LZW licence which runs at $5000 per year.

Whether you reply here or (preferably) to my email stallone [at] tiscali.co.uk, any relevant information would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry, for the dupe post … didn’t realise that Adobe copied their forums into here from the website.
