I have a photo that I will need to incorporate onto a fax cover letter. I know from past experience that photos don’t send very well. This fax cover letter is NOT being sent from a computer, so I can’t use WINFAX.

Is there anything in Photoshop that I can do to create a outline or just a B/W copy that when placed on a document will fax correctly?

Thanks

You could try converting it to crayscale and then cranking up the contrast to avoid too many grayed out areas.

Try halftoning it.

Convert to Bitmap at 200 ppi with pattern dither – it will look atrocious on-screen but will fax well
