I installed Photoshop 7.0 as administrator of a machine which is shared among more people. The problem is that when login as a normal user, Photoshop palette’s are completely lost, with magenta, black and green as unique colors.

If the application is run as administrator, we have again the complete range of colors. Is has nothing to do with color profiles as I configured them to be identical in all sessions. I also granted full right access to photoshop folder, shared components folder and temporary folders, and still no solution.

I could do a script to run the program as an administrator-righted application every time from any session, but that would comprise security as it will be possible to operate files through photoshop "open" windows.

It sounds like you haven’t run Adobe Gamma under the other user profiles, so they have a bad display profile.

Mr Cox.:

You were right!. The clients refused to create the profile and so the wrong display. I did it manually with administrator rights on each session and now everything’s OK. Also, it seems that it’s not possible to share profiles between users, as I had to a new one each of them; trying to use other user’s profile leads to wrong display (no profile really selected).

Many thanks for you help.

brother,

You can use the same profile for as many users as you want but it requires some minor registry edits.
