Thanks

Not automatically, but you can follow the advice in the FAQ section regarding red eye. You may also download an action set of mine: <http://www.96ppi.net/deluxe_sharpeners.zip> , which contains a ‘red-eye pen’ action (dab the red eyes with brush).

How would it select the red eye, much better to just select the desat sponge and twiddle in the centre of the eye. Job done.

I use the quick mask to get the red, then the A2 (channel mixer answer from the faq). I’ve actionized that channel mixer step and assigned F7 to it.

not always. I usually get better results w/the channel mixer method. But sometimes, you’re right, desat is better. It’s a picture by picture call.

twiddly twiddly dee…
I’ve seen so many select routes to curing redeye, but when I first tried it I had more trouble with fringes and selection errors etc. And I’ve never come across an iris that is anything other than black, so I think I will continue to twiddle, there’s no law against it.

Mathias, is the 75dpi site gone? And the 96dpi is not here yet, right? Somebody e-mailed me for a copy of your Digital Deluxe actions, but I’m not sure it’s legal for me to share your ware :).
In any case it makes more sense if it’s downloaded from your site. Thanks, Sergey

P.S. DD actions are terrific!

Unzip to your harddisk, load .atn file from action palette in Photoshop. Select action, press play, run brush over red eyes.
