All Photoshop programs Freezing

Hey everyone. I bought photoshop 6 and then 7upgrade a while back and used to work on this computer fine but now It freezes my whole computer now everytime i try to do almost anything I have a P3 504MHZ 256 Ram Nvidia Geforce 4 MX440 64mb Videocard if you need anyother specs let me know thanks for helping me out.

Sounds like a hardware problem if the whole system is freezing. See this FAQ topic:

If moving some of the Photoshop extensions aside solves your freezing problem, your just masking a real hardware issue somewhere. Solve that. It will come back to bite you at some point.
