I create a lot of tiled textures, when i want to do some tiling i collapse my layers and offset the image to work on the tiling…

is there a way that you can Offset ALL the layers at once without having to collapse the image ? it would be nice if it would offset all the linked layers but it doesnt…

How are you trying to effect the offset?

?
not sure what you mean ?

I want to use the Offset filter on multiple layers (say, 20), on a 256×256 image i would want to offset it 128×128 so the edges are in the middle of the image so they can be made to tile nicely..

Right. Understood. I have never used this filter, so it didn’t ring a bell.

Can you not use the move tool? Just link the layers, select the tool, then use the arrow keys to move the layers. Each tap will move one pixel; hold SHIFT and you get 10-pixel jumps.

Assuming that the elements are on different layers:
activate the first layer hit CTRL+T (transform) and now, using shift+ the arrow keys, move it the way you want.
Hit enter to commit the change (or click on the commit button of the option bar.

Highlight the second layer. Use SHIFT+CRTL+T (repeat tranform) as many times as needed (for instance, if you moved the first layer 10pixels on the left, hitting SHIFT+CTRL+T several times will repeat the move accordingly)

If you need to use offset, creating an action might help you.
