I have searched through many threads on the subject of ICC profiles but cannot anywhere find the ICC Profiles for the Noritsu printers used by my local CostCo lab in the UK (2801 and 3011).

Does anyone know where these can be obtained or has one or both and could email me.

Many thanks

John

Have you checked at www.drycreekphoto.com ? They have a large database of ICC profiles that is kept updated. If you don’t find the specific Noritsu machine you’re looking for, they have a target you can download from them, and when you send in a print of this target they will create and post a profile for the printer used.

Thanks for your post – their site looks good. I am just about to head down tro CostCo in Watford in hope that they will be helpful with this (i.e. getting a profile done) We’ll see…

Cheers

Don’t be surprised if converting to the recommended profile results in prints that are way off. Most of these printers are now expecting sRGB images (not specifically profiled to match the printer used). I’d suggest that for your first batch of prints you provide some test images that are both profiled and unprofiled. Here’s a link where you can download one example:

Costco UK’s overall photo manager was very receptive to the idea of getting profiles out there for their machines. He called me personally after I had left drycreek’s instructions etc with their helpful manager in the Watford store.

I will speak to soon and say that once again Costco prove themselves to be good value and flexible)

Anyway – I will update when this story concludes if they would be of interest to any other members of this group.
