I am quite new to Photoshop and only have version 6.

I can do all sorts of wonderful things I could never do before but when it comes to drawing simple squares, rectangles and cuboids I end up going back to Paint, which is very sad. The closest I can get is using the ‘line tool’ but that only seems to draw rectangles.

I know this is such a basic question but can someone tell me the best way to go about drawing a simple straight line and a cuboid?

Thanks,

Noel

There’s a rectangular marquee tool and a rectangular Shape tool in Photoshop. There are several ways to use these tools to get what you want. The Line tool also works in more than one mode to give you lines and shapes. It’s explained in the manual.
