What happened to the "Why bother with Illustrator?" thread? Admittedly it was going nowhere, but I’d left the reqst of the messages to read this morning, and now the whole thread is gone. What gives?

They have always known Illustrator was crap they prolly took it off. I never use that useless program ever ever ever I hate it. seriously it is such a piece of poop.

I think they will eventually just incorporate everything into photoshop thats missing so far and theyll just abandon Illuslamer.

Huh? What the hell are you talking about? That has nothing to do with that thread, nor is it even vaguely true.

Perhaps this is a clue why you’re not getting any design work… seriously. You need to check that outlook and expand your skills. If you think you can get hired as a designer knowing only Photoshop you are sadly mistaken.

Hmmm… my newsreader reports that the articles have all expired. (I don’t use the web-based interface at all).

Interesting… not a big deal in regards to this thread (it war outlived its usefulness), but I was curious in general if anyone (from Adobe, or otherwise) removed posts and/or threads that were "troublesome."

Precisely why it was left as READ ONL. It was not removed, it is not the policy of this forum to remove any thread, regardless of how trivial. They do not even edit posts that are critical of Adobe. They will make a post R/O int he event they degrade, as that one certainly did.

We have the lounge for frivolity. As far as DV8R, he is talking out of his butt. If he spent any time in these forums he would realize that. If he continues posting garbage, he will be relegated to troll status by the regulars. I have already done so, and ignore anything he posts.

Illy is not going anywhere, as it is a totally different application with a different purpose than Photoshop. Eventually Adobe might design an über application that integrates vector and raster and allows the designer full control over which method is implemented in the design of the graphics, but until then a good designer will beed both apps. Just my opinion.

Strictly from a profit standpoint it is in their best interest to keep them separate even if they could easily merge them together.

As for the "Why bother with Illustrator?" thread. The question was asked and answered, several times over.

I hate Illustrator and dont really care if any of you touchy little girls like me at all Im not here to please you. This is my opinion and I HATE ILLUSTRATOR!!!!! Its worthless to a skilled painter and is just a crappy program in my opinion.

Oh I know I’ll just agree with whatever the majority agrees on here so I dont stand out and everyone will accept me as part of there little "click". LOL whatever If I dont like it Im saying so I dont care.

Ha this is why Im not getting design work? are you kidding me! lmao I used Illustrator for years before I ever used Photoshop and decided I hated it when I relized its not even a good illustration program… Corel Draw blows Illustrator away…. hardcore!

You have no idea what my skills are and neither does anyone else here you insulting egotistical punk! You just think its good because its says ADOBE on the splash screen. You need to expand your knowledge a bit and youll realize Illustrator isnt a good program at all.

Money is why Illustrator exists not quality… Why do you think Image ready is included with Photoshop now? becuase its sooooooo good they just thought theyd give it to us free…LMAO ok man whatever you want to think is OK with me.
