Metadata import from Adobe Album

I am a relatively new user of Photoshop. I started with Photoshop Album and Elements.

I have categorized all my pictures in Album and when I look at the Metadata in Photoshop the categories are not there. So I assume they are using different methods.

Is there a way to import that tagging I have done in Album into the metadata for the picture? Seems like the categories are or can be the same

Is there a way to import that tagging I have done in Album into the metadata for the picture?

I recall a similar question to this right after cs was released and I believe the answer was no, because of the new format the tags in cs are stored in.
