I use several photo apps, all look ok except PS 7, all photos are to dark, how do I correct this with out messing up the other programs on my system?

Open Photoshop.

Press F1

Go to the Help File Index.

Look up color management.

Then come back here and ask about the things you don’t understand 🙂

Your system is not correctly color calibrated. Read the chapter on color management in your manual.

More specifically, you probably have a color management profile loaded within PhotoShop. With PhotoShop open goto EDIT –> COLOR SETTINGS then turn color management off under the settings dropdown menu. See if this corrects the problem. You can then look at loading the proper profile after calibrating your monitor.
